Family Finance

Each month gets its own page of income, bank balances, expenses, and subscriptions, with expenses grouped by category. Bank balances and investments carry over to the next month, while income and spending start fresh. The dashboard and charts show where the money went, how income compares with spending month by month, and how net worth is trending, in yen and dollars.

FEATURES

  • Separate pages for income, bank balances, expenses, subscriptions, and investments, each with a monthly notes box
  • Expenses grouped into categories (home, food, car, school, utilities, and more), with rows that can be renamed, added, or removed
  • A "+" running tally on every row for adding up several receipts, such as weekly grocery trips, with a dated history of each entry
  • Per-person subtotals for each earner's income and bank accounts, plus a household total
  • New months start from the last month's structure: balances and investments carry over, and income and spending reset to zero
  • Dashboard with total income, expenses, monthly cash flow, bank total, portfolio, and net worth in yen and dollars
  • Analytics: expense breakdown by category, monthly spending, income against expenses, and net worth over the year
  • Investment holdings in dollars and yen, converted at the month's exchange rate, with an allocation chart and portfolio history
  • Syncs through a shared Google Drive file so both partners see the same data, with backup and restore to a file
  • Installs to a phone home screen with a mobile navigation bar, and works offline
